'Laughter adds spark to our lives.' Modern Science has proved that what medicines can't do, humour can. To manifest the Importance of Humour, the students of class VII A (Lily) presented an applaudable assembly on the theme, 'The Healing Power of Humour'. The assembly began with morning prayer, thought of the day, news headlines followed by witty poems, hilarious skit and dance performances elucidating the message that humour is an important element of our lives but we must have a balanced approach towards it and should not indulge ourselves into excessive implications of the same. The assembly successfully met its endeavour to create an air of humour, thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. Keeping a note of the UN's Senior Citizens Day, the students were also encouraged to love, help and respect every senior citizen, be it their own grandparents or others. In place of opening old age homes in large numbers, we should curb the need to have them. Senior citizens are the foundation of every nation. Together we can make a better society sensitive to the needs of all.
