January 25, 2018 Republic Day Celebration

India is the Cradle of the Human Race, the Birthplace of Human Speech, the Mother of History, the Great Grandmother of Tradition. Our most valuable and most artistic materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only.
January 26 holds great significance to us. 68 years ago, the Indian Constitution came into force after a long struggle of freedom from British rule. A republic India was the result of some 200 years of struggle. This period saw a number of notable personalities who stood for the freedom movement. These freedom fighters incited a sense of nationalism and inspired patriotism in its true self.
To express these immeasurable sentiments a Special Assembly was conducted by Discipline House on Republic Day. The programme began with the speech on significance of celebrating Republic Day. Students presented beautiful rhymes on Patriotism. Through a small skit, the students presented Unity in Diversity. The Honourable Principal of the school explained the importance of the Constitution and its Preamble to the students and further it was read by everyone. Students won the hearts of one and all by showing their dance and music performances.
This assembly was an ideal platform to convey the essence of patriotism to the students.
Today, let us all remember the golden heritage of our country and feel proud to be a part of India.
