Welcome to DE Indian Public School
November 27, 2017 Special Initiative by School for Fresh AIr

&ldquo The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.&rdquo

It is already November end and the same headlines of the bad air quality in Delhi are still floating in the newspapers. The air pollution in Delhi has again hit dangerous levels and the air quality is deteriorating day by day.

The NASA Clean Air Study was led by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in association with the Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA). Its results suggest that certain common indoor plants may provide a natural way of removing toxic agents such as benzene, formaldehyde and trichloroethylene from the air, helping neutralize the effects of sick building syndrome.

Keeping this in mind, the school took the initiative of planting air filtering plants like Golden Pothos, Dracaena, Bamboo Palm, Spider Plant and Lady Palm inside the classrooms as well as the corridors. The students were told the importance of trees and videos were also shown to highlight the importance of growing trees and plants. The students and teachers also pledged to contribute in keeping their environment clean and green as stopping pollution is the best solution
